I honestly don’t recommend this setup, personally, but this was a specific question during the last OH call because Jean already has her store set up this way, so I was just trying to point her in the right direction w. what she was trying to accomplish.

The better way to do affiliate marketing is to create content around keywords/topics aligned with purchase intent (reviews, comparisons, best X lists, etc.). VERY few people will just randomly stumble upon your store or your “recommended products” page and purchase something, especially within the 24h cookie window.

Re: disclosures, I insert a reusable block after the intro of my blog posts that contain affiliate links with the appropriate disclosure. (Example: https://nutritionistanswers.com/dole-acai-bowl-review/)

I don’t cover affiliate marketing in any of my paid content right now, outside of what’s briefly mentioned in the SEO course about using nofollow/sponsored links when appropriate, but I used to have a course on it… The screenshots are probably pretty outdated now, but I will most likely refresh it and create content around this in some fashion in the future!
